Crystal Methyd

Crystal Methyd is the stage name of Cody Harness, an American drag performer who competed on RuPaul’s Drag Race. Currently a resident of Los Angeles, Crystal was born in San Jose, CA, to a Mexican mother and American father. She lived most of her life in Springfield, MO and went to Missouri State University. In 2017, Crystal launched the monthly drag show “Get Dusted” at Springfield’s Outland Ballroom.

The new format allowed Crystal to flip the traditional live performance element on its head delivering a pre-taped performance of Nelly Furtado’s “I’m Like a Bird” dressed the eponymous Momma bird and vomiting into the mouth of her baby bird (also played by Crystal!) She snatched runner-up honors!
